There are a couple of people who are on the top of the list in Nigeria and these programmers are;

 

1. Prosper Otemuyiwa

The programming world will not be complete if the name Prosper Otemuyiwa is not mentioned, this is due to the fact that he is a renowned programmer who recently took the second position on the top chart of the world’s leading PHP developers. This is according to Github’s ranking published in 2016, it is here that he gained his recognition.

Prosper’s work includes being a developer of a beginner-focused programming package known as the Laravel Hackaton Starter Pack. This tool is said to be proving effective in the programming world.

2. Moyinoluwa Adeyemi

Moyinoluwa Adeyemi is one of the very few females who are taking over the programming sector. Moyinoluwa Adeyemi has her crafts with the android apps, making apps that is compatible with the phones. Prior to her working with the Off-Grid Electric and Google Developers Group, she was working with Swifta Systems and Services International.

Moyinoluwa Adeyemi has also recently been featured in the blog.devcenter’s list of Nigeria’s richest female programmers, she is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Ekiti state. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science.

3. Oluwaseun Akinrinola

Considered one of the gurus in the tech world, Oluwaseun Akinrinola is one of the highly-rated programmers in Nigeria. Currently plying his trade with the First Bank of Nigeria as a senior software developer, he did not just get there, he has had relevant growth. He, Oluwaseun worked with a number of companies including Concept Nova (as a senior software developer), STPL, V2d Convergence (as a solution developer), and IQ Systems where he held the position of a senior software developer.

4. Obinwanne Hill

Obinwanne Hill is highly crafted in JavaScript, web applications, web development, and design. Although he is said to be the founder and CEO of ContentOmni and Restive, the JavaScript guru is believed to have ridden on the strength of ContentOmni and Restive to earn himself a remarkable programming career.

Obinwanne Hill did not really start as a programmer, in fact, he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo state.

5. Miriam Wampana

Miriam Wampana is one of the highly-rated programmers in the field at the moment. She has made her mark in the programming sector making her an employee at the American University of Nigeria as a senior software developer, prior to that she was an ICT support officer at the Abuja Technology Village.

Her academic prowess has also helped her to attain the heights she is currently on as she has academic degrees from both the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa state where she was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.sc) in Information and Communication Science and the University of Plymouth where she then went on to based squarely in programming after being awarded the degree in Computer Science.

6. Daniel Okechukwu

Daniel Okechukwu popularly known as DannyOkec is another renowned figure in the sector. The list of the best programmers in Nigeria will not be complete if this distinguished fellow is not mentioned. This is because he has been the developer of a beginner-focused programming package.

This package has helped beginners and amateurs grasp the knowledge of programming upon entry into the sector. As complicated as programming can be, this tool dannyokec works on has simplified programming to its easiest for beginners.

It is worthy to note that dannyokec is not only your popular programmer but he is also big on entrepreneurship. Prior to his limelight as one of the best programmers in Nigeria, dannyokec had other businesses like the Land9ja which focuses on real estate, Realnapsbet Ltd, Car9ja, and 4hire.

7. Falade Gbenga

Falade Gbenga is also worthy of mentioning as he is also one of the top 7 best programmers in Nigeria. Falade Gbenga worked as an end-user support engineer at Kotivu.NG and as a software developer at  Lasco Computer System. Also, he has done some work with  Altaviz Support Limited, CWG PLC, and some other companies. Currently, he is a senior software developer at Access Bank Nigeria.

He is on the side in charge of the software development between FirstBank Nigeria and ITANDT Solutions Limited.
