To apply for a Netherlands visa, you would need to collect a set of documents and take them to the Dutch embassy or consulate in your country. These documents need to be in either Dutch, English, French, or Spanish but if they are not, then they have to be translated.
For every document that is required to be provided, you must bring both the original and a copy.

Some of the documents required for a Netherlands visa include:
- A signed and completed application form.
- Passport pictures were taken with a white background within the last six months.
- Your passport or other travel documents are not older than 10 years. It needs to be valid for a minimum of three months starting from the time you leave the Schengen area.
- A copy of your passport’s personal details page and copies of any previous personal details page.
- Copies of any previous visa along with all entry and exit stamps.
- Proof you would return to your country after the visit. This could come as an employment contract, a declaration from your employer, or a document that proves you own a property in your country.
- A work permit, if required.
- Proof of financial stability for the period of visit.
- A letter stating the purpose of your visit.
- Proof of accommodation, etc.

Airport transit visa
This is a permit designated for travelers who have to change their flight from Schengen airport to a destination outside the Schengen area, it does not allow you into the Netherlands or any Schengen country. This visa is also referred to as ‘A visa’. Your country is a determinant for this kind of visa.
2. Short stay visa
This type of visa permits the travel to visit and explore within the Netherlands and any Schengen country for a maximum of ninety(90) days. This category of visa includes:

3. Long stay visa
For this type of visa, bearers are allowed to visit and stay in the Netherlands for more than ninety(90) days but you may be required to have a residence permit, it is all dependent on your nationality. This category of visa includes:
